This year all Chinese and the world knew about the devastating Si Chuan earthquake.
This earthquake destroyed many lives and properties. Thousands dead even more injured or homeless. All gone just in a day. However we only see the effects on TV and papers.
Last Sunday through the recommendations of Weng Fai, I brought my sister said to able to heal people, sort of Qi Gong.
We reached the place, the building is very run-down. Outside there are many people queuing for treatment. Inside is a school hall with many healers and patients. People of all sort come here for treatment, male, female, young and old.
Seeing old people on walking sticks, wheel chairs is still not a very disheartening sight. At least these people had been through normal, happy childhood and adulthood, before down with elderly illness.

1) Saw a young boy no more than 10 years old seated on the wheel-chair. His neck hanging down and no strength in his limbs, seemed unconscious of the surroundings.
2) A young girl around 15 years old seated on the wheel-chair, conscious of the surroundings. Just that her legs cannot walk.
I left pitiful and helpless. Why are these young innocent kids need to be indifferent from the rest. I am no religious person, but why God want to do this to them?
I admire and held respect for their parents, brining them all the way, carrying onto the wheel-chair just to wait for a glimmer of hope each day. For these parents, even if there was a minor improvement, they would be overjoyed.
I remembered during my NS time, inside my officer's office he pasted some pictures, which affected me forever.
Each morale there are 2 pictures.
1 picture showed a pair of Nike and Adidas shoes. Captioned "Nike or Adidas".
The picture on the right showed a pair of bare feet. Captioned "They got no shoes to wear".
1 picture showed a weight loss programe.
The picture on the right showed a African kid reduced to bones, malnutrition.. Captioned "They got no food to eat".
From then on, I told myself to be contented, and there are people far worse than me.
As long you are healthy, able to think, eat, take care of yourself... you are far more fortunate than the rest.
Once somebody say, when we are born everyone is winner. Why is this so? Because out of the thousands/ millions of sperm that fertilized the egg, only 1 succeeds. Forming another life. So everybody is born champion.
Your parents are also the greatest people in the world.
My life had always been singing Chen Lei's "Hua Yee Tio Ho" Kai xin jiu hao. If you know hokkien and understand the lyrics, the song is very meaningful.
I hope this treatment could improve my sister's condition and the rest of the people seeking a glimmer of hope.
